Amazing humans in a terrifying year - Ending 2020.

December 30 2020

Tomorrow is New Years Eve, the last day of a long and arduous year. This year has tested everyone, it has tested our society - and in many cases we failed. I put off writing this email at first in the hopes that we would have the pandemic figured out by years end, and once that was impossible I put it off because to say there would be no giant party is a lame message indeed.

Now I write it to say that there will be a party but not like ones past, and not one on zoom; instead in the cold around a blazing fire, 6ft apart and wearing masks and only for those of us in Maine who can return home after and sleep in our own safe homes.
Come anytime after 1pm tomorrow, the fire starts at 3pm and accommodations are your own bed in your own house. In case the address is not known, it's the cute little blue house at 628 Broadway, South Portland, just come around to the back yard or follow the fire.

To those of you who cannot come, our household would love to hear from you anyway and the Lines are open.
My Number is (413)717-0148 Darcie can be reached at (413)717-5055 Jimmy can be found at (508)951-0239 and Morgans number is (609)658-1004. No calls will be screened - wish us luck with all the spam!

Though I want to hear from all of you and any excuse to make a large fire is a great time by me that reason is just a pretext to tell all of you during this horrible year that you are all incredible humans - just by making it through and doing your best; you are incredible and knowing you is an honor.
In this terrible time knowing each and every one of you was out in the world also facing off with an onslaught of tragedy reminded me how much better the world can be, how much smarter humanity could act and how deep and true our kindness is.
Thank you all for giving me that hope.
The work will not end when the clock strikes midnight, our society will not be magically cured of its cruelty on the 20th but with all of you in it I am sure we are headed in the right direction.

Stay awesome and I hope to see you next year,
Love,
-William W. Guenette

TLDR: big fire for people outside and far apart - Call if you can't make it, Love you all.
